To understand the secret of popularity, the editorial board magazine «Fishery and Aquaculture» decided contact the top manager of Momoi Fishing Ken Harada.
“The brand name Hameleon was not chosen by accident. Originally, the name of the tropical lizard we gave to the coating, which significantly reduced the visibility of the net in the water”, says Mr. Harada. “Composition of both the coating itself and the formula of the material from which the yarn is made of, is a unique invention of our company”.
The production of a multi-layer line consists of a complex process, each stage of which is under meticulous attention of specialists.
“The line for the fishing nets are made by extrusion – pushing the molten material through a special hole”, Explains Ken Harada. “First the nylon granules are loaded into a machine with additional synthetic additives, which is one of our inventions. The granules melt, and the homogeneous mass is squeezed through the nozzles, which come in the form of threads already. Then after repeated stretching, the line is given such properties as high strength, wear resistance, softness and elasticity.
At subsequent stages, the monofilament is stabilized by hot air to achieve final extensibility parameters and an absolutely circular cross section. Then several layers of coating of Hameleon is applied”.
“The specialty of knitting our net materials is the double knot that increases the breaking strength of the mesh by 30%, and the special heat treatment allows it to stabilize the parameters of size and shape”, said the representative of Momoi Fishing.
“Final testing of the quality control department guarantees the absence of defects and distinguishes professional net materials from low-quality analogies”.
“We have been purchasing the Hameleon net materials since 2010”, Sergei Udavkov, employee of the fishing team from Karelia. “As a rule, we use nylon nets 210 denier / 2 or a monolayer 0.20 with a mesh of 55-65
mm for the pike perch catching. The color of the net materials does change when the material moves down the water, and it becomes softer. In my
opinion, from existing proposals in the market of cloths, Hameleon significantly distinguishes for its quality”.
“The price of Japanese nets, of course, is higher than analogies, but the difference is justified by 100% - you can always be sure
that the length and the number of meshes will coincide with the declared”, - says the general director of the production
company «Profisnast» Sergei Paulauskas.
“Hameleon net materials have a tie of a thicker thread on both sides, the meshes do not move and remain the same size. As a result, defects are avoided”.
